Band Statement
“We are excited to unveil our first single with our new vocalist, Sarah Hartman,” said Aversed in a statement. The artistic chemistry has been incredible and we hope you welcome her into this new era of our band and our songwriting. We wrote ‘Every Hill a Tomb’ to not only showcase our new direction with Sarah at the helm but to process the grief we have all experienced these past few years.

“We explore depersonalization into death and the afterlife, with the music and lyrics portraying the simultaneous grandeur and anxiety of infinite time. We are now in full-on songwriting mode and we hope you stay with us as we continue to reveal our new chapter with the world.”

About The Band
Boston, Massachusetts-based progressive melodic death metallers have maintained a constant presence in their scene both live and in the studio since their inception in 2009.

With the release of Impermanent, Aversed presented a hard-to-categorize metal experience cultivated of unprecedented beauty and torment. The third release following 2011’s self-titled EP and 2016’s Renewal EP, Impermanent marked a turning point for the New England scene veterans as they pivoted from a purely melodic death metal approach towards something more expansive, progressive, and blackened. Impermanent showcased Aversed’s unique approach to songwriting with nine diverse compositions full of catchy hooks and vast melodies. The album received rave reviews from fans and sites alike and helped elevate Aversed’s status in the scene to new heights.

Aversed is:
Sarah Hartman – vocals
Sungwoo Jeong – guitars (ex-live for Begat the Nephilim)
Alden Marchand – guitars
Martin Epstein – Bass (ex-live for Unflesh)
Jeff Saltzman – drums (Allegaeon, Unflesh, Continuum (live), ex-Solium Fatalis)
