AMFEST REVEAL STAGE TIMES FOR NEXT WEEK
AMFest, the Barcelona based festival with a focus on post-rock, math-rock, prog, post-metal and experimental music, have revealed the stage times for next week’s event. Headlined by post-rock icons Godspeed You! Black Emperor and post-metal pioneers Cult of Luna, the 4 day festival takes place at La Farga de l’Hospitalet, on the outskirts of the stunning city of Barcelona, Spain from 6th – 9th October.
They are joined by some of the most exciting and important artists from these scenes including dark synth-wave leaders Carpenter Brut, post-rock outfit Maybeshewill, multi-instrumentalist Lingua Ignota, experimental metal band Deafheaven, U.S doom outfit Pallbearer, composer Anna von Hausswolf and psychedelic black metallers Oranssi Pazuzu.
Joining them are Caspian, Elder, Tricot, GGGOLDDD, A.A Williams, Svalbard, Aiming For Enrike, Za! Vs 13 Year Cicada, Midwife, Slow Crush, Irist, Birds In Row, Foxtails, Ikarie, Lili Refrain, Maud the Moth, Nara Is Neus and Arima.
Unfortunately TWDY (Jeremy Galindo with special guests) can no longer make the festival but have been replaced by Celeste. The festival organisers comment,
‘CELESTE join AMFest! After releasing “Assassine(s)” (Nuclear Blast, 2022) they turned into one of the most intense and beautiful acts you can see in Europe. Welcome to our festival. Obviously this news comes after a painful cancellation. TWDY (Jeremy Galindo’s project ) let the festival know on Tuesday they cannot make it to AMFest due to unforeseen circumstances. Let’s hope we’ll be able to welcome them here soon!’

AMFest began life as Aloud Music Festival back in 2013 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona-based label Aloud Music. Originally intended as a one-off event, the success led to the organisers doing it all over again in 2014. From 2015 the festival changed it’s name and continued as AMFest until the pandemic put things on ice. Now in 2022 the festival is finally able to return with its strongest line-up today.
