(New York, NY) – As summer fast approaches, Knoxville guitar maestro Andy Wood is bringing the heat with his fourth studio album Charisma. The 11-track collection of instrumental compositions is slated for release on August 9^TH. Andy Wood is backed by a collection of some of Music City’s finest musicians on drums, bass, organ, keys, strings and even traditional Asian instruments are utilized to bring Charisma to life. Guitar legends Joe Bonamassa and Brent Mason also lend their talents to album. The album is available in numerous physical configurations as well as available via all digital service providers here.

From the hypnotic opening of “Shoot The Sun Down” to the emotive outro of “Believe,” Andy Wood expresses his emotions through his fingers and playing. Performances on “Storm The Sparrows,” “Cherry Blossoms” and “Hylia” showcase why Andy Wood is one of the most sought-after and respected guitar players around. Andy Wood even tackles the Alice In Chains classic “Rooster” in a solo guitar arrangement that demonstrates Wood’s lauded versatility on the instrument that has earned him his own monthly column in the famed instrument magazine, Guitar World. Joe Bonamassa lends his talents to the track “Moaning Lisa” and the first single “Free Range Chicken” features another Nashville legend, Brent Mason. About Andy Wood

Andy Wood magnifies his voice through the guitar. Communicating raw emotion right from the fretboard, his riffs, bends, and solos practically evoke words. The North Carolina-born guitarist, mandolinist, and producer has performed alongside everyone from Rascal Flatts to Jelly Roll and Gary Allan. On social media, he regularly engages an audience of 100,000-plus with popular livestreams and lessons. He also serves as the Musical Director on Shiprocked! and headlines, hosts, and curates his own annual Woodshed Guitar Experience, welcoming other top-tier six-string big guns a la Joe Bonamassa, Tosin Abasi, Eric Johnson, and more to participate. As a sought-after journeyman guitarist in the ensuing years, he tore up stages with Sebastian Bach, 10 Years, and LOCASH in addition to serving as Scott Stapp’s lead guitarist and Musical Director for the Proof of Life Tour. He once threw down on “Son of a Sinner” with Jelly Roll at the Grand Ole Opry. During 2015, Rascal Flatts recruited him on guitar and mandolin.
