14-year-old metalcore artist STORM releases new single ‘After a Lie’
STORM RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘AFTER A LIE’ BOOKED TO PLAY DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2024

Today, 14-year-old metalcore sensation STORM has dropped his new single ‘After a Lie’, out now via Indie Recordings. ‘After a Lie’ offers a relatable exploration of the feelings that occur when you pretend to be someone you’re not, just to fit in. The song also represents a shift in the musical direction, going into a more melodic approach and experimenting with mixing genres like trap, metalcore and rock.
On the new single, STORM comments: “‘After a Lie’ is special to me because it’s based on something I used to worry a lot about. It’s about pretending to be someone you’re not just to get to fit in. I wrote ‘After a Lie’ a year ago, and I hope and think many people can relate to it.‘After a Lie’ is a bit more mellow than my other songs, and I am focusing more on melodies than screaming, as this is a direction I wanted to explore. I love how the song blends various genres; and I think a part of the magic in ‘After a Lie’ is the transitions from trap verses to metalcore choruses and then the orchestral outro.”
STORM is making headlines and rewriting the rules of the metal scene capturing fans all over the world. At the age of 14 the young star has already performed at the biggest festival in Norway, Tons of Rock, played at the German festival Summer Breeze Open Air, toured Norway together with Gåte, and now he is announced to the UKs biggest rock and metal festival: Download!

Among the massive names announced for next year’s Download Festival, including Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, Pantera and Avenged Sevenfold, there’s a remarkable addition – 14-year-old Norwegian Leo Davadi Sundli, known by his stage name, STORM who shares his excitement:
“The fact that I’m actually going to perform at Download Festival is incredibly surreal for me. I’ve always dreamed of just being at this festival to see my favourite bands, and now I’m going to perform there myself. It’s mind-blowing, and I’m incredibly excited. We’re going to work so hard in the coming months to make this performance the best we’ve ever done! This is so big that I’ve barely had time to imagine it could happen!”
STORM has undeniably had a remarkable start to his career, and his unique style has resonated with millions on TikTok already. With legendary festivals and new music on the horizon, it’s safe to say this is just the beginning for this young rising star.
