Wednesday, August 21st, 2024 – Canada’s bounciest deathcore dudes Carcosa have unleashed another banger bordering on metalcore with today’s release of “Righteous Man.” It’s their second Tarantin-ish song, following the Kill Bill-isms of fan favorite “Vermin,” a great omen for their latest’s Fictitiously Pulpy leanings to earn similar love. Listen to the new track HERE and watch the music video HERE or by clicking the image below. Like the meme-tastic video for “Nihilus,” the “Righteous Man” clip inserts the quartet into scenes from the screen—with this one double daring (mother f****r) to transport them from BC to LA—for a viewing experience as cheeky as it is chuggy. Carcosa vocalist Johnny Ciardullo quips on the Quentinspiration of the track: “‘Righteous Man’ is a love letter to one of the best films in the history of modern cinema. Its visceral nature and polarizing dialogue are perfectly poised for a brutal yet catchy banger. “After having so much fun green screening ourselves into hilarious moments for ‘Nihilus,’ we knew what had to be done here. Sure, the subject matter may not be as straight up funny, but we ensured we’d inject some laughs with some hilarious props—check out those guns—and our, ahem, acting. |
