Never Home are your bridge from the 2010’s to present day on new EP ‘Beautiful Years’
Alternative rock crew Never Home have unveiled their first album in 7 years, with emo-laced, alternative rocking Beautiful Years.
The North Carolina group return in blistering form, for a collection throwback in inspiration but unerringly contemporary in its delivery. Themes of nostalgia and retrospection are punctuated with driving guitars and soaring injections of melody as Never Home craft a heartfelt collection fitting for their existing fans, as well as the new generation of alternative rock fans.
Charlotte, NC pop-punk/alternative rock quintet Never Home have re-emerged after a five-year hiatus. The band’s self-titled debut, released in 2018, earned the group acclaim across North Carolina and beyond, with its heartfelt and hook-heavy allure. Lead single “State Line” was praised as a “classic anthem” by Alternative Press, propelling the band to share stages with genre leading acts including Stand Atlantic, Broadside, and Trash Boat.
Following their single “Landslide” in 2019, the band faced personal hardships that led to their hiatus. Compounded by a global pandemic, the years apart brought challenges, introspection, and ultimately, resilience.
Led by comeback single, “Set Sail Alone”, Beautiful Years is the other side of the same coin as Never Home. While the rookie collection reflected on the struggles of early adulthood, Beautiful Years illuminates the lessons learned. Wiser, yet hopeful, the new music celebrates growth, acknowledges faults, and charts Never Home’s exciting path forward.
Fans of Bloom, Right on, Kid and The Dangerous Summer will find a strong connection with Beautiful Years, a collection packed with captivatingly honest anthems. The tracks splay emo with contemporary alternative rock for a soundscape that is fresh, but laced with nostalgia.
