LONDON, U.K. — Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band today release their debut collaborative album Angels’ Share via Universal.
The album includes fan favourites such as newly released ‘Happy Place’, ‘Milarrochy Bay’ – which was previously on the BBC Radio 2 playlist for several weeks with support from Scott Mills, Jeremy Vine, Trevor Nelson, Sara Cox and more – ‘Arabella’, ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ and ‘The Wedding’.
Speaking to BBC News, Stevie Jukes (Saint PHNX) shared that Angels’ Share is the result of 18 months of “touring, drinking whisky, becoming fathers and being best friends. We’ve been writing together for years but Heather on the Hill was the moment everything shifted. Before that we had a transatlantic sound but this song brought us home. It made me realise how powerful embracing our Scottish identity could be.”
To celebrate the album’s release, the band will hit the road on a surprise acoustic tour across Scotland over the next few days, kicking off with a flash-mob-style pop-up performance in Glasgow city centre today. Fans (all-ages) can expect unannounced sets in towns and villages nationwide, bringing the new music directly to the streets. Keep an eye on Nathan and the Saint PHNX brothers’ socials where all the stops will be announced ahead of time.
Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band represent a modern Scottish success story rooted in tradition, resilience, and reinvention. Nathan began as a postal worker in Airdrie, singing centuries-old sea shanties not for fame, but for connection. When his voice carried across TikTok (here) during a moment of global isolation, it struck something timeless – a reminder that music has always been about shared labour, shared hardship and shared hope. His rise wasn’t manufactured; it was communal. Millions didn’t just listen – they sang with him.
Saint PHNX, the brother duo Stevie and Al Jukes, were carving their own path at the same time. Raised on the same working-class grit, they rejected easy industry formulas to build something louder, bolder, and fiercely independent. After being dropped by a major label, they rebuilt from the ground up – writing, producing, and performing on their own terms. Their sound is modern, cinematic, and defiant: pop music with a rock spine and a Scottish heart.
The band had a career-defining year in 2025 – with their sold-out show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, the announcement of their album, and over the holidays performing on the BBC’s legendary Hogmanay on New Year’s Eve – available to watch back on BBC iPlayer here.
Nathan Evans and The Saint PHNX is gearing up for an exciting year ahead – The Angels’ Share World Tour kicks off on February 18th in Los Angeles and will travel across the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia, giving fans the chance to see the band perform their biggest songs live. Their most recent UK and European tour sold over 25,000 tickets, with the shows being celebrated for their energy, musicianship and connection with fans.
The band is also set to headline and curate Heather On The Hill Festival, a family-focused event taking place on Saturday, 22 August 2026 at the Royal Highland Centre as part of Edinburgh Summer Sessions. Created by Nathan Evans and the Jukes brothers, the festival will feature artists including Cian Ducrot, Ella Henderson, Skerryvore, Brooke Combe, and NATI, with more acts to be announced. Tickets for the festival are available to purchase here.
