Leicester outfit Mouth Culture are getting ready to get on the road again with an extensive UK headline tour this April (see below for details). And those shows are now set to be even bigger with the addition of Nu-grunge upstarts Overgrown to the bill. The band are teasing that a new era of Mouth Culture could be imminent too, with enigmatic vocalist Jack Voss saying of the dates “It’s gonna be the end of an era, if you know what I mean. See you at the front row ragers x” Tickets are on sale now.
Alongside this announcement, the band are counting down to the release of a very special live session, which will see new versions of ‘Ratbag’, ‘On and On’ and ‘Picking Wings Off a Butterfly’ premiered on their YouTube channel this Friday @ 12pm.
Mouth Culture say: “This session was recorded at Otterhead Studios, where we have recorded the last two EP’s ‘Mishaps Of My Mid Twenties’ & ‘Whatever The Weather’, as well as the last 4 singles we put out towards the end of 2025.
We wanted to do it here to pay homage to those sessions and really capture the essence of those tracks in the same room, but in a more raw and honest setting.”
This new session collection was produced by Jamie Ward, and filmed/edited by Joe Vozza and is a taster to whet your appetite for the band’s forthcoming tour dates. Mouth Culture are also set to slay a slew of festival appearances this summer at behemoths like Download (UK), Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park (Germany), Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) & Jera On Air (Netherlands).
Already making significant waves across the UK and beyond with their undeniable melody and musicianship, Mouth Culture have incited many a moshpit frenzy playing the likes of Reading & Leeds, Download, Slam Dunk and The Great Escape Festivals to gleefully rapt audiences and praiseful critiques. Kerrang! noted they have “the sort of supercharged intensity that makes a band stand out from the pack.” NME named them a must-see at Reading & Leeds Festival and said they “…already have stadium-rock ballads, sharp commentary on masculinity, and mosh pit mayhem.” Rock Sound excitedly proclaimed “The rise and rise of Mouth Culture, from the UK underground’s best-kept secret to genuine scene contenders, continues to be a joy to behold.”
