Morning In May Share Ripping New Single, “Shania Pain (Man I Feel Like A Loser,)” Are Set To Embark On Winter Tour

Nashville, TN — Pop-rock band, Morning In May, are sharing their brand new song, “Shania Pain (Man I Feel Like A Loser)” via Ghost Killer Entertainment, on February 7. The track is the band’s first new release since their explosive single “Laughter On Death Row” and serves as follow-up to the band’s recently released cover of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”

“Shania Pain (Man I Feel Like A Loser)” is a powerhouse track that radiates gripping melodies alongside gut-punching lyrics. Morning In May creates a refreshing atmosphere with sensational screams that contrast against smooth clean vocals.

“Writing Shania felt like literary freedom. Our whole career I always felt like we were in the wrong place or around the wrong people. The song is more about acceptance of yourself wherever you are and mental suspension. Shania was written as a mantra to help manifest awareness.”- Jake Bartolic, lead vocalist.

Fans can catch Morning In May on the What Have You Done Tour this winter with support from Chasing Satellites. Tickets are now available, see dates below.

About Morning In May: Known for descriptive lyrics that bring songs to life in a cinematic way, Morning In May finds themselves at the forefront of modernizing pop-rock. The band strives to be an outlet of discovery for their fan-base. “I want people to understand the depths of their feelings not face value, really follow the breadcrumbs back to the reason they are who they are. I want people to understand on a deeper level their true purpose.” Says lead vocalist Jake Bartolic. “I would like to write the script for confidence so people can play the part.”

Morning In May brings their neon-driven, energetic show to life by touring extensively, including Warped Tour 18’ and others alongside names such as Hawthorne Heights, Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandria, Ice Nine Kills, I Set My Friends On Fire, Underoath, August Burns Red and more. The band has headlined shows at Hollywood’s Whiskey A-Go-Go and has played Launch Music Conference.

Morning In May’s latest release “Laughter On Death Row” showcases witty lyrics and catchy melodies. “I wrote “Laughter On Death Row” because it’s so hard to get noticed nowadays. We’re all fighting through the noise for recognition. I always make the joke that you have to commit a crime to be seen.” says lead vocalist, Jake Bartolic, on the release of the track.

The band continues to highlight their ability to create addictive songs such as “Table Etiquette,” produced by Matt Malpass (Blink 182, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Lotus.) Along with their full-length studio album Dead Set Slander, that has incorporated the throwback emo feel of the 2000’s to the new electronic and modern sound of today.

Morning In May has worked with notable artists such as Escape The Fate’s frontman Craig Mabbitt on their single, “Orpheus in Retrospect,” released in October of 2020. MIM has maintained relationships with Heydude Shoes, Spirit Airlines and Dynamic Talent International. Previously signed to We Are Triumphant, Manic Kat Records and Needful Things/Tragic Hero Records the band is no stranger to the grind as they now find themselves a part of the Ghost Killer Entertainment family.

Other works include a music video for “Everybody’s Innocent Here, Don’t You Know That?,” the leading single off of the band’s 6-track EP, Somewhere In Slumber. The song’s title refers to the movie, The Shawshank Redemption, as a fan, MIM shot their video at The Ohio State Reformatory, where the film had been made. Listen to the band’s brand new single, “Shania Pain (Man I Feel Like A Loser)” via Ghost Killer Entertainment out February 7.
