Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Mimi Barks has today shared the official music video for her single, WORMGIRL. The video, which was shot in LA by Astral Media sees Mimi Barks and guest vocalist Raven Gray, of who offers a contrasting ethereal vocal to Mimi Barks’ self-christened DOOM TRAP world, tear around LA hanging out of a classic car in vicious fashion.
With the frenetic energy of the video coinciding with the lyrics of the track, Mimi Barks shares the following statement;
“I thrive off the weight of it all, the discomfort.
A martyr, killed, for my love for you.
Solitude. Alone with myself on a different plane.
Not above nor below.
I’ve grown into something inhuman.
I am my own lover, the creator, the destroyer, I am the one who plays the player, I am my own god.”
