Today, Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy and Friends are thrilled to announce an Autumn 2026 UK tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s iconic album, Lifes Rich Pageant. After the pairʼs rapturously received run earlier this year honouring the bandʼs famed 1985 album Fables of the Reconstruction, which saw the four original members of R.E.M. join Shannon & Narducy on-stage at their two shows in Athens GA in the US, the Lifes Rich Pageant UK tour will take Shannon & Narducy to stops in Bristol, Brighton, London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

Kicking off Tuesday Sept 1st at Bristol’s Thekla, the tour will see Shannon & Narducy—alongside Jon Wurster (drums), John Stirratt (bass), Dag Juhlin (guitar), and Vijay Tellis-Nayak (keyboards)—playing Lifes Rich Pageant in full each night in addition to many other beloved R.E.M. classics.

Artist pre-sale begins 10am GMT on Monday 24th November. General sale begins 10am GMT on Friday 28th November. Tickets available here.

Shannon, an award winning and acclaimed actor/director/musician, and Narducy (Bob Mould Band, Superchunk, Sunny Day Real Estate, Verböten, Split Single) have been collaborating for the last twelve years, playing entire albums by some of their favorite artists such as Neil Young, The Modern Lovers, Bob Dylan, The Smiths, and T. Rex at various Chicago clubs. After a successful show in July 2023 at Chicagoʼs Metro honoring the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.ʼs Murmur, which included a guest appearance from R.E.M.ʼs own Mike Mills, what was initially planned as a one-off performance evolved into the pairʼs first-ever tour.

“It dumbfounds and delights me that we continue our crusade through this astounding catalogue of music from one of Americaʼs most influential and unique bands,” Shannon comments. “Now we find ourselves at a summit, LIFES RICH PAGEANT, and weʼre all pinching ourselves in disbelief to be so lucky. The most strange and beautiful adventure.”

Narducy adds: “Iʼm thrilled to join Michael and our band in celebrating the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.ʼs monumental fourth album. This impeccable collection of songs meant so much to me when I first heard them and they continue to inspire and invigorate me.”

Before the Lifes Rich Pageant tour kicks off, Narducy will release his first book, Mostly The Van, on December 9th. Detailing some the odd, uncomfortable, and even moving things that have happened to him as a musician, including getting lost in a Nazi bunker with Bob Mould in Hamburg, forgetting lyrics during a live Blue Note jazz album recording, playing guitars with a 70 year old stranger who hadnʼt played music with another human in 48 years, or getting a four word review from Kim Gordon about his first Superchunk show in NYC, Mostly The Van finds Narducy shedding light on the peculiarities of his supposed glamorous job. It is available for pre-order now here.
