Today, October 17th, Hungarian symphonic metallers Meteora release the second in their ongoing, unfolding trilogy of EPs – Broken Mind. Following in the wake of the critically acclaimed In this Silence, Broken Mind has been picking up an array of praise and plaudits in its own right.
“…Broken Mind is a triumph of sound and spirit – five metal skulls for an unforgettable journey through the storm.” – MAXIMA DISTORZION
To mark the release of Broken Mind Meteora have released a new lyric video for one of the EP’s most impressive tracks – ‘In My Name‘. Meteora’s keyboard player/vocalist/composer Atilla Király has offered his insights to the track’s lyrical content…
“Most of the Broken Mind EP steers away from the social topics and into more intimate subjects. The title track about trying to get better for the person you love, ’Morningstar’ having an anchor in your life who you can look up to and expect guidence from, and ’Elysion’ about love that persists even after death. ’In My Name’ is different. It’s a song about politicians claiming they speak for all of their people while spouting hate, and religious ones telling you they act in God’s name while commiting atrocities. God must be really pissed by this, and so am I!”
“A glorious, genre-melting triumph – a four track thunderstorm of orchestral grandeur, deathly fury and blackened emotion…” – BLACK METAL ARCHIVES
