“The emo-and-metalcore band’s sophomore album is a step up in every way: tighter, catchier, heavier, better-produced, you name it.” – BrooklynVegan

“Counterfeit Recollections is a sprawling sonic soundscape that captures frenzied chaotic hardcore in the same breath that it touches on ethereal, uncanny post-rock and alternative.” – New Transcendence

“A stunning metalcore record from a band that may have only been around for a short time, but are sure to make a huge impact within the rock community.” – Distorted Sound

“They’ve taken a familiar sound and put their own touch and personaility on it, while undoubtedly cementing fallfiftyfeet’s status as one of metalcore’s most exciting and consistent rising acts.” – Boolin Tunes

“Issuing a succession of audio fury, previews in “Running From the Sky”, “Purgatory Blues” and the album’s frenetic title track showcase a variation of metalcore that prioritizes technicality and conveys a sense of urgency in its soundtrack.” – Knotfest

“Warning: This album contains everything your parents hate, the government fears, and the church preaches against. Enjoy.”

And that’s how Counterfeit Recollections begins.

The new album from fallfiftyfeet, out today, is a masterclass in hardened metalcore baked with spirited melodies and a distinctive technical display. Recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recordings and mastered by Kris Crummett, the songs impact with twisted riffs, intriguing samples, and a sense of urgency. Serving as the band’s sophomore album and fourth overall release, Counterfeit Recollections finds fallfiftyfeet as band that has grown into their own and marks a definitive moment.

The elevation in sound latches into lyrical themes of growth and loss. Guitarist/vocalist James Becca shares: “As you grow older you lose people, you lose parts of yourself you might have thought you would never lose, and it makes you lose a sense of reality at times. You have to come to terms with things you thought were set in stone and could never change. If you can’t do that, then your losses will haunt you.”

Guest appearances from 156/Silence, PRINCESS, and buriedbutstillbreathing nod to the community fallfiftyfeet has built through their do-it-yourself ethic. With the release of Counterfeit Recollections, 2025 is primed to be fallfiftyfeet’s biggest year yet.

Counterfeit Recollections can be streamed HERE. Vinyl is available through Silverback Gorilla Records and on CD and cassette tape through Wormwood Records.
