MASSIVE WAGONS Release New Single “Story Of My Demise” Out Now via Reaper Records

Following the outstanding success of “Everywhere We Go,” MASSIVE WAGONS return with their brand-new single, “Story Of My Demise,” available now on all digital platforms. Accompanied by a brand-new official music video, the release marks the next chapter for one of the UK’s most exciting modern rock bands ahead of their forthcoming eighth studio album.
Produced by acclaimed producer Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Architects), the band’s highly anticipated new record is scheduled for release in 2027.
The adrenaline-fuelled video sees the band pushed to their limits at the legendary Krypton Factor Assault Course at Adrenalin North Yorkshire in Richmond which is widely regarded as one of the toughest obstacle courses in the UK. Under the watchful eye of owner and former Paratrooper Will, the band were put through their paces, crawling, climbing, carrying and generally getting well and truly beasted in a fitting visual companion to one of their most energetic singles to date.
Packed with soaring hooks, driving riffs, and the band’s unmistakable high-energy sound, “Story Of My Demise” delivers another powerful statement from MASSIVE WAGONS. Combining raw intensity with infectious melodies, the track captures everything that has made the band one of the UK’s most exciting modern rock acts, while offering another thrilling glimpse of what’s still to come.
Massive Wagons frontman Baz Mills says:”We were blown away by the success of ‘Everywhere We Go’, especially in Europe, to be honest. The radio support was outstanding. We wanted to follow it up with another huge, catchy song, and we’d had this demo in our back pocket since the early days of writing for the next album.
I’ve always liked it when I can polarise the lyrics and the song itself, a happy tune with gritty, grim lyrics. The song’s going to be bangin’ live, I can just tell. And, to lower the mood, the lyrics are about feeling completely useless while the world around you is slowly dismantled by a consortium of rich psychopaths. Hey ho.”
Guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite adds:”I’ve been told by several sources of high repute that ‘Story Of My Demise’ is ‘classic MW’. I’m not sure what that means, but I’ll assume it’s a positive. We just took a tune we wrote and turned all the knobs up to 10, knobs, metaphorical and otherwise…”
The release follows an incredible run for “Everywhere We Go,” which became the band’s most successful radio single to date. The song spent several weeks at No. 1 on the German Rock Radio Charts, while its official music video quickly became one of the band’s biggest online successes.
Just like its predecessor, “Story Of My Demise” will also be available as a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl single, giving collectors another special release to add to their shelves. UK PRE-ORDER HERE
Beyond the music, the new single also marks the beginning of a new era for MASSIVE WAGONS.
