Marcus King, the hugely acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist, returns to the UK for a string of shows this month, in support of last year’s stunning album Young Blood, which was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

With a stadium-sized performance full of soul, rock and country, King has been lighting up stages across the USA for the past few months. Featuring a spectacular group of musicians as his band, King’s on-stage charisma, unparalleled playing prowess and hugely soulful vocals mean these dynamic live shows are not to be missed.

Supporting Marcus King are acclaimed British duo Ida Mae. Their electrifying blend of garage-based rock and roll with folk, soul and country has won them fans across the globe.

King promises, “This tour is going to be our biggest one yet. It has been a long time in the making, bringing a FULL night of Rock ‘n’ Roll, love and laughs! Can’t wait to bring this show to your town.”

He starts his European tour on Sunday 12th March in Copenhagen, with further shows in Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and The Netherlands before kicking off his UK and Ireland shows with his biggest London show to date at the Kentish Town Forum on March 21st.

Tickets for all shows are available here – https://mk.lnk.to/tour

Later this spring King will perform in Australia and Japan before returning to the USA for tours with Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers and the Zac Brown Band, alongside a whole host of headline shows.

He also features on the upcoming compilation Stoned Cold Country, where acclaimed country artists of today – including Eric Church, Little Big Town, Maren Morris and Steve Earle – cover songs by The Rolling Stones. Marcus King delivers a brilliant interpretation of ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’. The album is released on 17th March via BMG.

PRAISE FOR MARCUS KING

“Blues guitar prodigy’s second solo LP, with added pop smarts… fervid heavy soul and hook-heavy blues-rock” – MOJO

“This second solo album from the 26 year old South Carolina guitarist is gritty, punchy and hooky” – Classic Rock

“The preternaturally gifted King [leads] a muscular power trio that rumbles like it’s 1969” – Uncut

“Much of the album was written in the wake of a bad break-up and the gut-wrenching lyrics are perfectly suited to King’s gloriously, sweet soulful voice” – The Sun

“There’s so much soul in all of King’s work — it’s like he can’t help but infuse everything he creates with a certain kind of rawness” – Consequence Of Sound

The guitar-heavy, bruising Young Blood, sounds like it’s been animated by the gods of hedonistic Seventies rock & roll”  Rolling Stone Magazine

“The type of rock album rarely heard these days… The guitar is fiery, the vocals raw and production punchy – what more can you ask for?” – Guitarist

“Marcus King channels the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grand Funk Railroad and Black Sabbath on Young Blood, the South Carolinian’s most polished and boisterous album to date” – Holler
