| Today, Manchester punk newcomers ROKO MOUTH have dropped their new single and music video for ‘COLLECTIVE‘. The fierce new track is the band’s first release of the year and lyrically takes aim at the current political landscape, candidly expressing their feelings while promoting the vital importance of community amidst the escalating chaos and division. Watch the ‘COLLECTIVE’ music video here or click on the thumbnail below. On the new single, the band comments:
“‘COLLECTIVE’ is about political burnout and the pressure to constantly pick a side, where every opinion feels demanded and neutrality itself becomes suspect. It captures the feeling of being buried in noise, opinions, and second-hand outrage, where even neutrality feels like a risk. The song moves between aggression and satire, staging a warped argument between two people who still call each other friends. “‘Leave it up to the collective’ isn’t a solution; it’s exhaustion, avoidance, and a hope that someone else might still know what they’re doing.” |

ABOUT ROKO MOUTH:
ROKO MOUTH erupted onto the Manchester punk scene in May 2024, rapidly earning a reputation for ferocious, high-energy live shows across venues of all sizes throughout the city. They fuse the theatrical swagger of Elvis Presley with the raw, hard-hitting aggression of punk pioneers such as The Clash and The Ramones, echoing Turnstiles modern vibe. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and confrontationally fresh, driven by chaotic energy and sharp hooks.Originally formed by Rory Branagan (vocals and guitar), George Watermeyer (bass and backing vocals), and Finn Connolly (drums), the band reinvented itself in early 2025 when Finn switched to lead guitar and backing vocals. Enter Charlotte Redhead: feminist, climate change activist, and powerhouse drummer. Her arrival cemented a lineup that ignites explosive, unpredictable live performances, leaving audiences exhilarated and craving more.Over the course of summer 2024, the band released three singles, building momentum toward their self-recorded debut EP, Open Your Mouth. The EP received its live debut at a sold-out first headline show at Manchester’s iconic Star & Garter, marking an early milestone for the band. In 2025, ROKO MOUTH released the Peach Fuzz EP, pushing them firmly onto the UK punk and hardcore scene.Having collaborated with promoters and creatives including SJM Concerts, Scruff of the Neck, Clampdown Promotions, Upsurge Artists, and Wornout Creative — with support from Clash Magazine and Marshall Headphones — ROKO MOUTH have shared stages with notable acts such as SWMRS, Gen and the Degenerates, Dear Seattle, Superbloom, and City Dog.Heading into 2026, the band continues their rise with new single releases, headline shows in London and Manchester, and an appearance at this year’s Punkest Festival in Manchester.
