LØLØ releases new single ‘faceplant’

The boistrous track effortlessly captures the visceral feeling of falling head over heels into new love.

Canadian rocker LØLØ, has today shared her exhilarating new single ‘faceplant.’ Packed with powerful guitar hooks, dynamic vocals, and witty, charismatic lyricism, “faceplant” is a perfect storm of all of LØLØ’s most exciting qualities. The boistrous track effortlessly captures the visceral feeling of falling head over heels into new love.

’faceplant’s heart is composed of frenetic, glitzy guitars and LØLØ’s resonant, gritty alto. She builds out the track’s energetic spirit with rolling percussion and pop-tinged production, building towards the juggernaut chorus. LØLØ’s newfound infatuation isn’t gentle and her emotional turbulence is reflected in the sonic, thrashing wave that is ‘faceplant.’ The anthemic tune runs wild with a chaotic, euphoric energy as LØLØ sings “I didn’t just fall I / faceplanted onto the floor / never felt this feeling before / Oh god I – I – I’m down bad for you.”

“Something you should know about me is when I fall for someone, I fall HARD,” LØLØ reveals. “How hard, you ask? Well a few months ago, leaving a boy’s house (who I promised myself multiple times I would never see again) I tripped and fell face first into the concrete, earning me a broken jaw (on both sides), a broken nose, a broken chin, and four lovely stitches across my face. This was the day I realised that I had fallen undeniably & irrevocably in love with him. Actually, no. I didn’t just fall, I faceplanted.”

‘faceplant’ comes in the midst of LØLØ’s 31-date North American tour with Boys Like Girls and State Champs, before continuing directly into a UK/European tour supporting Against The Current.

Earlier this summer, LØLØ shared the scorched earth ex-bashing anthem ‘hot girls in hell’, her third single release in 2023, joining the emotionally-exhibitionist head banger ‘omg’ and the gritty breakup duet ‘5,6,7,8 (feat. girlfriends)’ with lead singer Travis Mills. She took the stage at the Slam Dunk Festival and Rock For People Festival, before supporting Sueco and MOD SUN on their UK & EU tour dates.

LØLØ’s lyricism skews from rich, imagery-laden poetry to caustic tongue in cheek rhymes, but is always touched by LØLØ’s unwavering authenticity and raw honesty. A pillar of the pop-punk renaissance, LØLØ has released a string of popular singles that prove her as a master of the genre and a lyricist who is wise beyond her years.
