Like Ghosts “Wish You The Best” with vibrant pop-punk single
Alternative rock outfit Like Ghosts have dropped new single, “Wish You The Best”.
The track blends emo-laced pop punk with the Texan crew’s growing electronic influences as the band drills down on their atmospheric but hook-heavy sonic output.
On their latest release, they reflect on a true collector’s item in pop-punk – an amicable break-up.
Lead vocalist Gage Rodriguez shares: ““Wish You the Best” is about reaching that moment in a breakup where the anger and heaviness finally fall away, and all that’s left is acceptance— you walk away, no hard feelings, and you genuinely wish the other person the best.”
Rodriguez continues: “Musically, it’s my ongoing experiment of blending future bass textures with the heart of emo and pop-punk, and it feels like one of our strongest steps in that direction. This song has really connected with people, and I can’t wait to bring it to life on the Wish You the Best Tour.”
Racking up over 5 million streams on Spotify with their creative and potent melodic alternative rock, Like Ghosts have built their story through grit and graft since the release of debut EP To Feel Like You’re Drowning.
Cascading guitars and soaring choruses adorn the Texans’ soundscape, with singles such as “I Wish Things Were Different” & “It’s Gonne Be Me”, as well as a Pop-Goes-Punk style cover of Ryan Cabrera hit “On The Way Down” putting the band firmly on the scene radar.
With a Vans Warped Tour appearance and supports for Sleeping With Sirens, Crown The Empire & Rain City Drive, Like Ghosts have made themselves know on the big stage.
Like Ghosts announced their signing to Manic Kat Records with the release of the anthemic “Better Now” in June. Now, they book end summer with follow up single “Wish You The Best”.
Driving guitars, vibrant synth injections and big choruses make for a compelling output which shows the quartet’s pop-punk roots. Like Ghosts’ energy is never in question and their high octane new single brings a perforating resonance befitting of their blossoming reputation.
