Laurence Jones Releases First-Ever Solo Acoustic Album ‘On My Own’, A Raw, Intimate Release – Out Now

Laurence Jones Releases First-Ever Solo Acoustic Album ‘On My Own’,  A Raw, Intimate Release Out Now

Laurence Jones releases his first-ever solo acoustic album, On My Own, a deeply personal and courageous album born from one of the most challenging periods of his life. Created during a severe Crohn’s disease flare-up, the album was written in moments of pain, isolation, and reflection, laying bare the realities of living with an invisible illness, love, and life on the road. For Jones, On My Own is not only a collection of songs, but a testament to survival, resilience, and the beginning of a powerful new chapter.

On My Own has been described by Blues Rock Review as “a truly amazing piece of work,” earning a 9/10 review, while Classic Rock praised the album as “real and raw.”

Laurence Jones comments.

I’m incredibly proud of the release of my most personal album to date ‘On My Own’. Stripped back, taking me back to where it all began, just me and my guitar. I started the classical guitar at the age of 8 years old and feels like a full circle moment. These songs have been a lifeline to me at times, most of the songs on my new album are about my struggles and battles with Crohn’s disease and how music really is my healer. These songs came to me at a time of need, and I can’t wait to share them to the world. It’s also my first solo album something I’ve wanted to do since I was 18 years old. What makes this release even more special is that it’s on my own record ‘Ron Records’ label in loving memory of Grandad Ron Redcliffe.

I just want to say thank you to all my incredible fans for making this happen. Without all your love, encouragement when I have been at lowest point in my life with my health you were always there to cheer me on. I hope this album stands the test of time as it’s a way for me to carry on doing the music and what I love but without putting my body through the paces. It’s intimate, real and the blues! I never thought at times I would get to the end of the recording sessions and at times I was really scared but the music pulled me through. Thank you again.”

Laurence will take On My Own on the road with his Solo Tour 2026, kicking off tonight January 23rd in London.
