NASHVILLE, TN. – (4th February, 2026) – GRAMMY award-winner and global country icon Lainey Wilson has announced that her documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, will debut on 22nd April, 2026 globally on Netflix. The documentary follows Wilson as she redefines what it means to be a modern country star, proving that staying true to yourself can lead to major success. The film captures a pivotal moment in her career, exploring the country icon’s personal journey and chronicling her struggles and triumphs as she captivates fans on stage across the country.
Commenting on the news, Lainey Wilson shared, “I couldn’t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix. This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.”
Amy Scott (Counting Crows: Have You Seen Me Lately?, Sheryl) directed the project and commented, “What began as a fever dream project became an intimate journey with one of the most dynamic and fascinating artists of today. Lainey’s story is deeply personal, wildly inspiring, and rooted in authenticity, and I can’t imagine a better platform to share it with the world.”
The film is produced by Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, Kent Kubena, Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jason Owen, and Jen Gorton with Mandelyn Monchick, Josh Miller, Katie Admire, Jillian Apfelbaum, Nicolas Gordon serving as executive producers.

Let It Snow!” with Bing Crosby, as well as instrumental versions of both songs.
A sought-after songwriter, Wilson has eight #1s including “4x4xU”, “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x Platinum “Heart Like A Truck”, in addition to collaborations with Jelly Roll (“Save Me”) and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). Moreover, Wilson wrote “Out of Oklahoma” for the Twisters movie, has worked with artists such as Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton and Post Malone, and will make her film debut in 2026’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, after first acting in Yellowstone. An electric live performer, Wilson recently performed sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena as part of her extensive Whirlwind World Tour and will continue to tour through this year including dates across Australia and New Zealand.
