Like the first line of the chorus says: “Night, in your obscurity I will hide”, this stand alone single of LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE consistently continues the path taken on their latest album ‘How To Shroud Yourself With Night’, as it comes from the studio sessions from that album. The track wasn’t finished in time, so singer Julian and guitar player Olly got together again and finished what was started in summer 2021. Musically, the song contains some references to the band ‘Sentenced’, who disbanded in 2005.
‘Obscurity’ was produced by Kristian Kohle’ Kohlmannslehner at his ‘Kohlekeller Studios’ in Seeheim and mastered by Tom Porcell at ‘Limetree Studios’.
Lacrimas Profundere are currently rushing from success to success with their latest album. Their audience has quadrupled to 80.000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and the clubs are packed at all their shows! ‘Obscurity’ will further enrich the setlist from 30 years of band history. In addition to the single announcement, a major festival tour with more than 16 dates through Europe is coming up, plus several headliner shows in a few selected cities starting in April.
