Sharing members with Upon Stone and Human Garbage, Los Angeles band BLOODSHED are bringing hardcore back to what it should be – no gimmicks and incredibly heavy. Citing influences from Integrity, Ringworm, and In Cold Blood, the band’s ‘90s style bursts with metallic riffs and darkened vocals. Emerging in 2025 with their demo and a track on the Four Corners of Chaos split, today BLOODSHED announcing their signing to DAZE and share new single “ABHORRENCE.” The track lets you know what you’re in for right from the get go – “Warning, what you’re about to hear is very disturbing indeed” – before launching into fast hitting chaos. Vocalist Vic’s deep delivery gets an extra boost with a guest feature from Dan of Laid 2 Rest. “ABHORRENCE” was recorded and mixed by Andrew Solis and mastered by Nick Townsend. Stream it HERE.

“Abhorrence serves as an affront to much of what exists in the hardcore scene today. Its facade of narratives, promoting regurgitated virtues for the sake of ‘fitting in,’ and embarrassing displays of weakness posed as morality and excused as injustice. This lack of substance, also known as talent, has plagued hardcore for years and has now positioned itself at the helm of the scene it wishes to police and ultimately destroy.
This song serves as the antithesis of these atrocities. May it serve as the spearhead of a rebirth.”
BLOODSHED will hit the stage at Hellfest NJ this weekend, support Nails in Oxnard, CA on July 11th, join 100 Demons and Death Before Dishonor for three west coast shows in October, and were just announced for Flyover Fest in November. More info below.
