“…The gravely twang of Steve Earle with Chris Stapleton’s range, plug bigger hooks…”
Rolling Stone

Kyle Daniel, the Bowling Green native and powerhouse singer-songwriter blending classic southern rock with modern country, has released new song, ‘Me & My Old Man’, listen HERE.

The track, taken from his debut album, ‘Kentucky Gold’, out July 19th via Snakefarm worldwide, is issued in honour of Father’s Day, and contains lyrics that, whilst deeply personal, are sure to connect with many…

“He showed me wrong from right, don’t back down from a fight. Cause a real dream never needs a back-up plan. We both built the common ground where I still stand.
Me & my old man.”

‘Me & My Old Man’ shows the more reflective side of the ‘Kentucky Gold’ album, contrasting with ‘Can’t Hold Me Back’, a powerful statement of intent, and Summer Down South, feat. Nashville rockers The Cadillac Three, both already released.

Breathing new life into timeless influences and resurrecting the glory days of ’70s country rock for a new generation, Kentucky Gold demonstrates just how wide KD’s musical reach can be.

“Releasing my debut album, ‘Kentucky Gold’, feels like the culmination of a lifelong dream,” he enthuses. “It’s finally time to tell my story.”

Kyle co-wrote all 12 tracks, collaborating with producers Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Three), Brian Elmquist (The Lone Bellow) and songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Mike KrompassKentucky Gold promises to be a standout release in the roots music landscape, weaving together elements of Muscle Shoals soul, Nashville twang, raw blues emotion and the full-tilt energy of Kyle’s cherished 1958 R8 Gibson Les Paul.

About Kyle Daniel:-
Firing twin barrels of classic southern rock and modern country, Kyle Daniel makes blue-collar music for rock clubs, honky-tonks and everywhere in between. At the centre of that southern sound is a guitar hero, storyteller and songwriter who has built up his audience the old-school way, by clocking up the road miles, with key UK and European festivals taken in along the way.

Kyle, a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, began playing bars before he could legally drink. Music was in his blood; his father played banjo in a local bluegrass group, and his mother played bass and piano. He followed in his parents’ footsteps by becoming a hotshot guitarist, winning the Kentucky Blues Challenge at 17 years old and placing in the finals at the International Blues Challenge one year on.

Later, Kyle began writing songs that showcased not only his fiery fretwork but also his songwriting chops and vocals. His debut EP, Kyle Daniel, was recorded in a single day and released independently in 2018. Even without a label’s help, the record found critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone praising it for mixing “the gravely twang of Steve Earle with Chris Stapleton’s range, plus bigger hooks”. After spending several years as a sideman for other artists, Kyle is finally claiming his share of the spotlight, brewing up his own melting pot of hard-hitting American roots music.
