New York, NY (March 13, 2026) — Rising indie-rock outfit Krooked Kings share “Damage Control” today — listen HERE. The track is the latest release from the band’s forthcoming album In Another Life, out March 27. The LP was recorded in Los Angeles with acclaimed producer Yves Rothman (Blondshell, Yves Tumor), mixed by Lawrence Rothman (Amanda Shires, Marissa Nadler), and mastered by Emily Lazar (Jacob Collier, HAIM, Vampire Weekend), signaling a confident new chapter for the Salt Lake City–born five-piece featuring Oli Martin (vocals, guitar), Paul Colgan (guitar), Dave Macey (keys), Matt Monosson (bass), and Quinn Casper (drums).
“Damage Control” finds the band turning inward, examining the self-destructive habits that strain their closest relationships. The song sits in the uneasy space between regret and realization, reflecting on impulsive choices, miscommunication, and the emotional fallout that follows when attempts to fix things come a little too late. Rather than shying away from those flaws, the band leans into them, pairing candid, introspective lyrics with a bright, guitar-driven arrangement and a memorable hook that gives the track an urgent sense of momentum. Dave Macey says of the single, “‘Damage Control’ is a song we wrote long ago but we couldn’t quite figure out what to do on the chorus. Naturally we made it as big and loud as possible and that seemed to do the trick. It’s a song about getting drunk and embarrassing yourself. Simple, straightforward, rock and roll. “Damage Control” follows earlier singles “Rancher’s Daughter,” “Parking Lot,” “My Friend Max”, and “Ugly Love”.
