The Pacific Northwest’s KITSA returns to share a recently released, robust cover of Bad Company’s classic rock anthem, “Burnin’ Sky.”
Recorded at Devil’s Child and Heavy Head Recording Co. (produced by the legendary Tony Reed), this new rendition honors the original while infusing KITSA‘s unique style and modern spirit, inspiring a fresh perspective.
Since their launch in 2022, KITSA‘s music has been deeply rooted in weighty riffs, spanning various genres over several decades, with a resounding nod to Pacific Northwest grunge. Citing Elder, The Sword, Down, Alice In Chains, and Nazareth as some of their influences, the foursome itself comprises members from eclectic bands, including Devilbilt, YEDD, Teepee Creeper, Pivot Point, Earthwreck, and Abused.
In 2023, the group began recording their inaugural full-length album, ‘Dead By Dawn.’ A melting pot of musical forces, the debut was released in early 2024 and features an assortment of sweet, sweeping vocal harmonies on the title track, the live fan favorite “Journeyman,” and a classic rock banger, “Seeds of Famine.”
After several months of performing in support of their recent album, KITSA wound down by recording this interpretation of “Burnin’ Sky.” Showcasing their ability to blend classic rock with contemporary influences to create a nostalgic yet forward-thinking sound, the single is available on all major streaming platforms.
