Kelly Lee Owens releases her new EP KELLY, a bold, physical, and unfiltered body of work that marks a powerful new chapter for one of electronic music’s most innovative voices.

A project built for the club yet rooted in deep introspection, KELLY follows the success of Owens’ acclaimed fourth studio album Dreamstateand continues her exploration of nightlife, catharsis, and collective energy as transformative cultural forces. Across the EP, Owens pushes further into the raw, hypnotic techno that has defined her recent live sets, while retaining the emotional clarity and atmospheric depth that have become her signature.

Talking about the EP Kelly said, “Finally, my new EP ‘KELLY’ is out today! It’s both a snapshot in time of where I am right now artistically and also created as a sonic club journey – each track shaped by the physical spaces and communities that leave their mark on us after unforgettable nights out. I wanted the sounds to feel raw and urgent, a little unruly, visceral and ominous, direct and deliberately uneasy at times

When I was making these tracks, I kept imagining the spaces that I’d play them in and the people who might share them. This EP was born from the desire to experience music collectively on a dance floor. It is also an expression of the life force I feel whenever I step into a venue. The EP is a celebration of everyone whose shoulders I stand on, especially the women who came before me and those who might find their own inspiration through connection with the music. It’s a sort of tribute to the power of real spaces, real connection, IRL and the necessity of escapism that lifts us through our everyday world.”

The EP includes the pulsing single “ASCEND”, a fan-favourite from her recent show and a striking example of Owens’ ability to merge emotional resonance with pure, physical propulsion.

Building on Owens’ long-standing mission to uplift grassroots club culture, KELLY also reflects her continued work amplifying spaces and communities outside the mainstream, from her Girls Love Techno T-shirts, championing women in electronic music, to her work with the Music Venue Trust, supporting independent venues and underground culture.

The release arrives after a standout year of global touring across the US, UK, and Europe. Owens’ blistering live sets — including festival highlights at Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Portola, and Dour — have cemented her as one of dance music’s most compelling performers. She also turned heads with major DJ sets supporting The Chemical Brothers, Bicep, and Caribou, along with an unforgettable appearance at Boiler Room x Amnesia as part of Charli XCX’s PARTYGIRL takeover.
