“Please Come Home for Christmas” AVAILABLE NOW!Originally performed by Charles Brown and released in 1960. My inspiration came from the Eagles version which was released in 1978. Over the past couple years, people have continued to ask me, “What’s your favorite Christmas song?” and every year I always answer with, “Please Come Home for Christmas.” There’s something about the lyrics of this song that move me and put me right in the spirit for Christmas. Having a bit of Memphis soul in my veins, I’m drawn to R&B & Blues, but my heart is obviously in Country Music. I feel like we added every element to make this song what it is! The gorgeous piano sounds by Lee Turner (Keyboards, ac guitar and bgvs for Darius Rucker) and the beautiful strings, Cello performed by Cremaine Booker. I hope ya’ll will add this song to your playlist this month for the holidays! I’m extremely thankful for the downloads, streams and LOVE you guys have already shown this song. Thank you.
