DUNDALK NOISEMAKERS ANNOUNCE IRISH TOUR AFTER A SUMMER IN EUROPE WITH THE CURE
As Just Mustard prepare for their final festival appearance at End Of The Road Festival this Saturday they have announced a run of Irish dates this December, bringing their acclaimed third album WE WERE JUST HERE back to home turf after a busy year from a show in Tokyo to the biggest stages in Europe.

A pollyanna is defined as an excessively cheerful or optimistic person. For it to be the title and inspiration of the opening track and lead single from Just Mustard’s third album, WE WERE JUST HERE, signals a real shift for the Dundalk five-piece. Across their first two albums – 2018’s Wednesday and Partisan Records debut Heart Under from 2022 – the Irish band became masters of haunting noise rock, Katie Ball’s bewitching vocals swirling amongst the sound like smoke.
Heart Under, all dark industrial noise and dreamy textures, explored grief and longing, its imagery submerged deep underwater and gasping for air. On WE WERE JUST HERE, the band reemerges leaning towards the light and the rush of euphoria — warped guitars, twisted Aphex Twin-indebted sound design and cavernous low ends are still intact, but this time channelled into a warmer, more anthemic path.
Produced by guitarist David Noonan and the band, and mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA twigs), the record was built around vocal structure and melody in a way the band had never attempted before — reverse-engineering their usual electronic-inspired process to chase something more direct, drawing on the dynamic song structures of Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine. WE WERE JUST HERE was released in October 2025 to widespread critical acclaim, earning playlist support from BBC 6 Music – including an A-List placement for ENDLESS DEATHLESS – and praise from NME, DIY, Stereogum and The Line of Best Fit, among others. The band also made their first appearance on Later… with Jools Holland and The Tommy Tiernan Show.
December’s Irish tour caps off an extraordinary year for the band. From kicking things off in Tokyo before launching a generally sold out European and North American headline tour through spring 2026, and spent the summer supporting The Cure on their European tour as well as playing to huge festival crowds across the continent along the way. Following that run, the band spent the summer out with THE CURE across Europe’s biggest stages and festivals — a fitting stage for a band whose sound has only grown bigger and bolder. Now, after a year that’s taken them around the world, Just Mustard are bringing it all back home for four unmissable Irish dates this December.
