Genre: black metal In the fall of 2020, founding member Jörgen “Jurg” Ström (ex-Skineater, ex-Omnicidal, ex-Rimfrost) decided it was time to breathe life into a new musical vision. He envisioned a project where blending different styles wouldn’t just be accepted – it would be essential. During daily walks through the forest, inspiration struck from the organic beauty of northern nature and the haunting melodies of bands like Alcest, Dissection, and Katatonia. The name Jord emerged naturally, and with it, the first songs began to take shape. The ambitious goal was clear; create three albums that would capture this unique sound. The debut album Sol materialized with remarkable speed in 2021 and Jord kicked off as a solo endeavor. This pattern continued with the second album Måne in 2022 and by the time the third album Tundra was ready, the solo approach had reached its limits. It was time to evolve into a proper band and embrace full studio production. Sebastian “Hravn” Svedlund (Rimfrost, Omnicidal, Sister Sin) joined on guitar, while Stefan “Jansson” Jansson (Omnicidal, ex-Devilicious) claimed the drum throne.
