NASHVILLE, TN. –  Six-time #1 hitmaker John Morgan has today released his newest track, ‘Cry Baby‘. The raw lovesong is written by John Morgan, Lydia Vaughn, Kurt Allison, and Tully Kennedy and produced by John Morgan and Brent Anderson. Stream/download here.

On the self-aware new song, John Morgan turns the mirror on himself. He owns up to the moments he’s let his temper get the better of him, and the guilt that follows when he sees the hurt he’s caused reflected in someone he loves. It’s a vulnerable, grown kind of love song, less about grand romantic gestures and more about the harder work of accountability, growth, and trying to be better for the person who’s stuck by him. With his signature blend of grit and sincerity, Morgan delivers a heartfelt plea that balances toughness with tenderness – proof that real strength is admitting when you’re wrong.

Morgan is spending this fall on the road, joining Brantley Gilbert’s Real American Tour while also headlining his own dates with support from Erin Kinsey and Chris Ryan. The country star is further expanding his touring schedule with ten headlining shows following the conclusion of Gilbert’s tour, beginning November 12 in Myrtle Beach, SC and wrapping December 5 in Starkville, MS, as his latest single, ‘Kid Myself’, continues its climb toward the top of the country airplay charts.

ABOUT JOHN MORGAN:

GRAMMY-nominated and 6x #1 hitmaker, John Morgan delivers country music with a blue-collar edge rooted in the only life he knows. Raised in Sylva, North Carolina – a small town in the Great Smoky Mountains – he grew up playing bluegrass festivals in his family band. Now a “Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), John has written 16 songs for Jason Aldean alone  – including Aldean’s #1 hits ‘How Far Does A Goodbye Go’, ‘Trouble With A Heartbreak’, ‘Whiskey Drink’, ‘Don’t Tell On Me’ and the GRAMMY®-nominated ‘If I Didn’t Love You’ with Carrie Underwood. His songs have also been recorded by Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett. After years behind the scenes, John’s breakout moment came with his debut single ‘Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean)’, which shot to #1 at country radio – earning him his fourth #1 as a songwriter and first as an artist. Morgan’s songwriting also earned him the coveted CMA Triple Play Award. The momentum continues with his debut album Carolina Blue, out now. A blend of raw storytelling and small-town soul, the project features the rising single ‘Kid Myself’, currently climbing the charts. Having already played the Grand Ole Opry and toured with Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Riley Green, ERNEST, Nate Smith and more, John is heading out on Brantley Gilbert’s Real American Tour this fall where he will sing his hits and preview new music like his latest releases ‘Once in a Mile‘ and ‘Cry Baby‘. John has a track record that proves that he’s not just one of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters – he’s one of its next big stars.
