Jack J Hutchinson Releases New Single ‘Rise Again’ Ahead Of Forthcoming Album ‘Soul Believer’

Jack J Hutchinson returns with ‘Rise Again’, the second single to be taken from his forthcoming solo album ‘Soul Believer’, due for release on Friday, January 22, 2027 and available to pre-order now.

Co-written and produced by Josiah J Manning at Momentum Studios, ‘Rise Again’ is a three-minute slab of hard rock driven by biting vocals, heavy riffs and a melodic chorus, offering a taste of what’s to come from Hutchinson’s new record.

Lyrically, the track explores the way fear and anxiety can take control of your life, while recognising the power of those closest to you to help silence the negativity and find a more positive path forward. Even when the ‘ghosts of your past remain’, there is always the possibility to hold on, move forward and ‘rise again’.

Hutchinson comments,

“Like all the best riffs, I wrote it in a soundcheck whilst on tour in Spain! I literally played it, grabbed my phone and said to the band ‘let’s get it down’. I told my producer Josiah that I wanted to write a track that sounded like a mix between Blackberry Smoke and Led Zep, with a melodic chorus like Neil Young’s anthemic rockers. We ended up with a rousing tune packed with positivity that’s going to be great to play live.”

The psychedelic-inspired artwork for ‘Rise Again’ was created by Gareth Halliday, known for his work with Noel Gallagher on his album ‘Who Built The Moon?’. The artwork was inspired by Hutchinson and Halliday’s shared love of classic psychedelic album covers.

“I’ve always loved psychedelic album covers, and thought Gareth’s artwork was perfect for the themes of the track and album. We met up in Soho and spent the afternoon visiting record shops looking at classic covers to get inspiration. He then took a photo by Rob Blackham and turned it into the ‘Rise Again’ artwork, which I think is perfect for the themes of the song.”

Hutchinson will be back on the road later this month supporting legendary guitarist Robin Trower, with dates taking him to Sunderland, Edinburgh, Manchester, Cambridge and London. The run culminates at London’s iconic O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire — a venue that holds particular significance for Hutchinson.

“The run ends with a gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. The first show I ever attended in London was The Black Crowes at that venue, so it will be incredibly special to play it.”

Following the Robin Trower dates, Hutchinson will embark on an extensive headline tour, taking in venues across the UK ahead of the release of ‘Soul Believer’ in January.

“I can’t wait to hit the road with my band and play the new songs for everyone.” Says Jack “We will be mixing the set up each night, a bit like bands like the Crowes do. We want each and every night to be special.”

To celebrate the release, Jack J Hutchinson will headline a special album launch show at O2 Academy Islington on Thursday 21 January 2027.
