The Hammer Falls – Halo – Straight To Hell
The ever crowd pleasing, hard blues rock guitarist and songwriter Jack J Hutchinson is pleased to announce his autumn 2022 UK headline tour. He will play 11 dates taking in fantastic venues, along with three festival performances in support of his forthcoming EP ‘What Doesn’t Kill You’, which has been mixed by legendary producer Kevin Shirley (The Black Crowes, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa).
Hutchinson enthusiastically comments, “This autumn marks five years since my debut solo album, and we will be celebrating with a set that features highlights from my whole back catalogue.” Reflecting upon his rising career thus far, “I’ve somehow clocked up seven records in that time, so it will be a mix between the heavier stuff from my recent album ‘The Hammer Falls’, plus some of the blues material I first became known for. We’ll also be playing new material from my forthcoming EP ‘What Doesn’t Kill You’ which will be released later this year. It’s going to be one hell of a show!”
Jack’s latest offering ‘The Hammer Falls’ was a highly and widely received release by listeners and press alike. Classic Rock Magazine bestowed 8/10, “The songcraft remains magnetic and nimble”, Powerplay Magazine were moved by “a feeling of soul and grit in his souped up blues” along with Music News Reviews finding it “a joy to hear an artist becoming and not just following the trends.”
Going on to reveal his feelings on the album, “The new album is the heaviest music I have ever written, with big riffs and choruses and perfect for live shows with loads of people. It’s my most personal record to date, that ultimately leaves the listener with a positive energy which so many listeners have commented on”
Always serving up an engaging live show, international tours have encompassed Brazil, Spain, Russia, France and Germany to great acclaim and festival appearances include BluesFest at the O2 Arena, Ramblin’ Man Fair, HRH and Bully on The Rocks and most recently Planet Rock Winter’s End to an emphatic ovation.
