Renowned for their captivating live performances, Iron Maiden continues to captivate audiences around the globe with their unique blend of powerful music, stunning visuals, and relentless energy. As the band enters their fifth decade of existence, their live shows remain a testament to their enduring legacy and the indomitable spirit of heavy metal.

Iron Maiden – A Legacy Forged in Steel:

Iron Maiden’s journey began in the late 1970s, spearheading the influential New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. With their debut album, “Iron Maiden” (1980), they introduced the world to their iconic mascot, Eddie, and a sound that would solidify their place in music history. Since then, the band has released a string of classic albums such as “The Number of the Beast” (1982), “Powerslave” (1984), and “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” (1988), among many others.

The Unforgettable Live Experience:

Iron Maiden’s live shows have become the stuff of legend, captivating fans with their larger-than-life stage setups, intricate storytelling, and unparalleled musicianship. Led by the charismatic Bruce Dickinson, whose soaring vocals can still send shivers down the spine, the band brings their music to life with unmatched intensity and precision.

As the curtain rises at Dublin’s 3Arena, fans expect to be engulfed in a sensory feast. The stage is transformed into a fantastical world where Eddie, the band’s beloved mascot, looms large in various incarnations, creating an immersive experience that goes beyond just a concert. Iron Maiden has always been known for their elaborate stage productions, incorporating pyrotechnics, stunning visual effects, and larger-than-life props. These elements come together to create an otherworldly atmosphere that enhances the impact of their music.Tonight is no different and the energy and passion for this band and their spectacular back catalogue can be heard far and wise across Dublin tonight.

A Setlist to Satisfy the Masses:

Iron Maiden’s setlist for their 2023 tour promises to be a celebration of their storied career, featuring a diverse range of songs that span their entire discography. From the blistering riffs of tonights opener “Caught Somewhere In Time” and “The Trooper” to the epic grandeur of “Fear of the Dark” and “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” and for one superfan standing beside me waiting 38 long years to hear “Alexander The Great” in the flesh, the band will take fans on a sonic journey through their extensive catalog.

While their classic hits are a staple of their live performances, Iron Maiden also showcases their commitment to artistic evolution by incorporating newer tracks from their most recent albums. Expect to hear the thunderous rhythms of “The Writing on the Wall”,  demonstrating that the band continues to push boundaries and create new musical landscapes. With each and every track greeted with a roar of approval, this setlist is going down well with the thirsty Irish crowd, an eclectic crowd at that, old-school metal fans from far and wide and young kids in tow, showing the importance of this band even today shaping the future of metal and little metal heads everywhere they go. Their footprint and legacy can be felt well beyond the walls of this arena, and looking around me I can see exactly what this means to so many, grown men almost in tears filled with emotion hearing the soundtrack of their youth played out with a lifetime of friends, you cant help but be impressed.
