| | | New York, NY (September 17, 2025) – Oakland-based Alternative indie rock trio OSLO releases “Accidental Tourist” featuring Adrian Young and announces their new EP, The Great Divide, out November 14. After nine years, the trio returns with a cinematic and deeply layered record that reflects both where the band has been and where they’re headed. Moody and emotional, the 6 tracks explore the dualities of connection and disconnection, love and loss, capturing life’s yin and yang. | | OSLO, a three-piece built around guitar, bass, and keys, brought in a powerhouse roster of drummers, including long-time collaborator Adrian Young (No Doubt), Tony Austin (Lauryn Hill, Kamasi Washington), Jonny Cragg (Spacehog), and Grammy®-winning producer, mixer, and composer Reto Peter (Green Day, Modest Mouse) to sit in on drums. Their contributions bring vitality and depth, underscoring the record’s sense of community and collaboration. “With Reto’s touch in co-producing and mixing, the EP really came together into something we’re proud to share,” said bassist Kerry Wayne James. | | The new single, “Accidental Tourist,” the second song OSLO ever wrote, draws on lead singer and guitarist Mattia Borrani’s early days in Los Angeles after leaving Oakland. The band’s core trio provides a solid musical foundation, alongside guest drummer Adrian Young, adding his unmistakable sound. | | OSLO has collaborated with Young previously, sharing a longtime friendship and musical chemistry with Gabrial McNair (guitars/keys), also known for his tenure with No Doubt. “Adrian joining us on the track gave us a chance to jam together, and the vibe was undeniable. From there, it was a simple ask; he was genuinely excited to bring his own flavor to the song,” added James. | | |
