Representing the sounds of metalcore from across the globe, Tokyo, Japan’s INDICATION, Ventura, CA’s WATCH YOU FALL and Atlanta, GA’s SEASONS END team up on a three way split, FOREVER YOURS, out today via DAZE (worldwide) and Militia Inc. (Japan). Each band delivers two crushing new tracks and a cover song showcasing their influences. The band’s came together bonding over the internet through a shared appreciation of Japanese metal and hardcore, citing 2002’s The Document compilation (Alliance Trax) and mid-90’s hardcore edge-metal act State Craft. FOREVER YOURS receives a vinyl pressing from DAZE, CDs available in Japan through Militia Inc. and the split is available across streaming services HERE.
INDICATION kicks things off with “RISE FROM THE ASHES” and “WILLPOWER” – two tracks that build a balance of shattering riffs and melodic moments led by a fervid vocal delivery from Kentaro (formerly of Crystal Lake). The band also cover Poison The Well’s “NERDY,” putting their own touch on the metalcore classic. INDICATION’s songs were produced by the band, recorded and mixed by Devu at Devu Recording Studio, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.
WATCH YOU FALL share “DEFINED BY FAILURE,” “FUTILE,” and a cover of Arkangel’s “WITHIN THE WALLS OF BABYLON.” The band create “mythical obliteration” through gothic-inspired guitar progressions and aggressive vocals. The tracks were recorded and produced by Vincent Amador at Room 11, and mixed and mastered by Brad Racine at Local Man Recordings.
SEASONS END close out the split with “EXPRESS OUR WILL,” “DETERMINATION OF SPIRIT,” and a defiant take on Killing Time’s “TELLTALE.” The band lean into the more metallic side of the genre with a thick, fast paced approach and vocals that sway from harsh to direct. The three songs were recorded by Seasons End, and mixed and mastered by Harris Noland.
