Bristol nu-metal quartet Profiler have been dominating the underground scene for the last few years. Following the success of their previous single Shadow, the band now releases Therapy In Me – written in a time in which singer Mike was seeking out solace from the weight of the world. It works as an explanation of gained perspectives when trauma is released in safe spaces and processing of the past turns mistakes into lessons.
“Confronting my past has allowed me to step into a new world within myself, opening up a more open-minded exploration of the future, welcoming triggers and life’s uncertainty.” shares Mike. “The lyrics also discuss themes of manifestation, the desire to seek success through creativity and the frustration of where humanity currently exists.”
The band is known for their introspective and thoughtful lyrics, heavy riffs, and compelling voice that make millennial nostalgia real. To no surprise, Therapy In Me delivers just that. Just earlier this year, Profiler supported Periphery in Dublin and King 810 across the UK. Known for their unforgettable live shows, the band previously supported Allt, Whitechapel, Vower, Northlane and opened for Vended on all 34 shows of the EU tour.
In the past, the band has also seen widespread acclaim from BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Dan Carter, Future Artists with SIan Eleri, Kerrang! Radio, Kerrang! Magazine, Metal Hammer and BBC Introducing Rock with Alyx Holcombe. With Therapy In Me, the “nu-metal reawakening” continues.
