IDESTROY RELEASE SELF TITLED ALBUM – OUT 30TH AUGUST 2024

SELF TITLED ALBUM OUT 30th AUGUST 2024

“IDestroy are extremely easy to like. Summoning a very healthy crowd early in the afternoon, the Bristol trio’s rattling, riotous punk fare explodes into life in a small, sweaty space, with oodles of swagger to boot.”

 Kerrang! Magazine

Bristol based punk rock trio, IDestroy drop their new self titled album this Friday August 30th after a summer of punk rock chaos including live shows across Europe including UK appearances at Download Festival, 2000 Trees and Dot to Dot, Illosaarirock in Finland and Punk Rock holiday in Slovenia.

The album was produced by Jay Hill and mixed by Katie Tavini and is packed full of singalong punk rock anthems, with lyrical themes close to the band’s heart.   The angry energy of the album focus track ‘Cable Cars on Everest’ explores the subject of climate change and the destruction of the planet.  “I started writing this song in lockdown when everything was going to complete shit. It’s not only about my frustrations during the pandemic but the overall helplessness I feel when it comes to climate change, pollution, extinction etc. It sometimes feels like everything beautiful on the earth is being destroyed” states vocalist/guitarist, Bec Jevons.

The trio met as students in Bristol and found a bond through their love of music.  They released their critically acclaimed debut album “We Are Girls” in 2021 – an album rife with swearing and sarcasm and steeped in camaraderie and a party punk rock attitude.

Previous singles to feature on the upcoming album include ‘Headphones’, ‘100 Sounds’ and ‘All My Friends Are Plastic’ which have received a slew of plays from BBC Radio One’s Future Artists and BBC Radio One’s Introducing Rock, alongside spins on BBC 6music, RTE2fm and Radio X.

“IDestroy, love these cats and kittens!”

Huey Morgan, BBC 6Music

“The lyrical content is such a relatable, universal feeling. A flood of punk energy which makes it an absolute ear worm.”

Tara Kumar, BBC Radio One, Future Artists

IDestroy are Bec Jevons (vocals/guitar), Nic Wilton-Baker (bass), Jenn Hills (drums).
