HYPHEN
ANNOUNCES NEW EP “THIS MIGHT BE IT” + SHARES TITLE TRACK
HEADLINE UK & IE TOUR ON SALE NOW
Firebrand newcomer Hyphen has officially announced details of his highly anticipated debut EP, “This Might Be It,” landing in June 2025. Leading the charge is the EP’s bouncing and indomitable title track, “This Might Be It,” which is out now — stream here.
Working with London-based multifaceted producer J.Ar.J, “This Might Be It” is a radical anthem that fuses punk-edged riffs, punchy electronics, and Hyphen’s hallmark razor-sharp articulation. The track builds on the momentum of his previous single, “Hate Yachts Not Dinghies,” which earned Hyphen praise as “The Future of British Asian Hip-Hop” (BBC Asian Network) and garnered widespread support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, the Evening Standard, and more.
“It’s a scary time when people keep talking about historical comparisons with Nazi Germany,” says Hyphen. “Meditation, and the joy of people shouting together at shows, helps me stay calm and find pockets of joy when the world is as dark as it is. ‘This Might Be It’ is my attempt to bottle that sentiment and give it to people.”
“This Might Be It” sets the tone for the upcoming EP, a project that promises to deepen Hyphen’s exploration of political unrest, personal reflection, and the power of collective joy. His ability to channel raw emotion and social critique into infectious, chant-like rhythms has solidified his reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
The EP announcement follows a whirlwind ascension for Hyphen, who amassed millions of streams with hits like “Marching Powder” and “Three Pound Pints,” sold out five headline London shows, and toured with punk heavyweights Bob Vylan in 2024. With “This Might Be It,” Hyphen is ready to take his message to a broader audience, continuing to challenge the status quo with his unique blend of grit and groove.
Fans will get a chance to experience Hyphen’s explosive energy live during his eight-date headline UK and Ireland tour this May. The tour kicks off at London’s Tufnell Park Dome on Thursday, May 8th, before hitting Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Dublin, Nottingham, and Birmingham. Hyphen will also make appearances at 2000 Trees Festival and Burn It Down Festival later this summer.
