| | The origins of Thrower trace back to 2020, when vocalist/guitarist Isaac Thrower and guitarist Cole Stratulate first connected in high school. Bonded by their shared love for artists such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and other era-defining acts, the pair set out to form a band. While the early project stalled and the two eventually pursued music in different states, their creative chemistry never fully faded. | | Three years later, Isaac revisited his early demos, including several co-written with Cole and reached back out. The renewed collaboration quickly gained momentum. Cole brought in longtime friend and guitarist August, and the lineup solidified with the addition of bassist Paul Duty and drummer Rocky Conant. | | Thrower’s early demos eventually reached producer Mark Gray, who shared them with Bobby Amaru of Saliva. This connection sparked the creation of the band’s debut album, Blink. | | Following the album’s release, Thrower hit the road, joining Saliva, Drowning Pool, and Above Snakes on the Snafu Tour. The band continued building national momentum, later touring with Cold, University Drive, and September Mourning on Cold’s anniversary tour celebrating 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage and A Different Kind of Pain. | | Today, Thrower stands as one of Houston’s rising heavy rock acts—loud, relentless, and built on a foundation of authentic connection and uncompromising sound. | | Thrower is Isaac Thrower (Vocals), Cole Stratulate (Guitar), August Galliano (Guitar), Paul Duty (Bass) and Rocky Conant (Drums). |
