Henry’s Funeral Shoe are back! The Welsh duo is set to release the brand-new single Hey!!! (What’s Your Pleasure?) on 26th September 2025. The track is accompanied by a music video, directed by Sean Spiteri & Hope Fletch and produced by Addicted To Film. The full video is available here. In less than four minutes Henry’s Funeral Shoe deliver a comeback that doesn’t disappoint. Hey (What’s Your Pleasure)? is breathless Rock n Roll. A relentless and persistent rhythm crosses the entire song creating a solid ground on which the guitar moves seamlessly from riff to riff. The sonic fabric of this track is cohesive, the dark feel is slightly softened by the bluesy touch; meanwhile, the gritty vocals provide an infusion of depth and grace, making Hey (What’s Your Pleasure)? uniquely entrancing. The band comments: “We wanted it to sound like something on a gravediggers playlist. Dark enough to accompany the surroundings, energetic enough to keep you digging and groovy enough to help you dance on the way home”. Formed by two Welsh brothers in 2008, Henry’s Funeral have been inspired and influenced by many of the albums singer/guitarist Aled Clifford looted from his father’s vinyl collection, such as: The Who, Credence Clearwater Revival, Peter Green, Robert Johnson and the Beatles. His younger brother Brennig started playing drums at nine and at fifteen joined a local band performing covers of classic rock legends, including: The Clash and Thin Lizzy. In 2008 the dexterous brothers joined forces to create some of the loudest soulful rock ’n’ roll to come out the UK in a long time. Throughout the band’s career, their music has been enthusiastically welcomed by the fans and critically acclaimed by the critics, with Classic Rock describing their last album as “Thumping good music with a timeless sound”, Uncut defining it a “stomping album” and Blues Matters considering the duo “One of the few authentic sounding British blues-rock bands”. Their third record Smartphone Rabbit Hole was released just before the world stopped for Covid. Shortly after their mum was diagnosed with a terminal illness and the brothers decided to stop performing live to help take care of her. With things now calmer at home Henry’s Funeral Shoe are ready to get back to their craft. Stay tuned for more news and don’t’ loose the rhythm!
