HAYES CARLL & CORB LUND RELEASE RENDITION OF THE GARTH BROOKS FAVOURITE ‘MUCH TOO YOUNG (TO FEEL THIS DAMN OLD)’

HAYES CARLL & CORB LUND RELEASE RENDITION OF THE
GARTH BROOKS FAVOURITE
MUCH TOO YOUNG (TO FEEL THIS DAMN OLD)
CURRENTLY ON TOUR IN THE UK
PREMIERED VIA ROLLING STONE
Old friends and collaborators, Hayes Carll & Corb Lund released a rendition of the Garth Brooks favourite, ‘Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)’ today via New West Records. Hear it now via Rolling Stone. Hayes Carll says, “This song has meant a lot to me over the years, and—even though I’m a long way from being a rodeo guy—this snapshot of a life on the road, the toll it takes on the heart, and the feeling of years stacking up in a young man’s game, resonates more and more.”

Corb Lund adds, “Hayes and I have been playing this tune together for a while now, and it’s a favoUrite of both of ours. We recorded this stripped back, bare bones version during the National Finals Rodeo last year, which is fitting, as it’s almost a hymn to a lot of rodeo people we know. It’s a lot of fun to sing and it’s a pleasure to be able to record and tour with my long-time pal Hayes.”

Carll & Lund also released a video of the duo performing the song live in the studio. See it HERE.

The standalone single was released ahead of Carll & Lund’s UK/European tour. The 15-date tour will also feature a 2-night appearance at Bush Hall in London this week.

Hayes Carll is currently supporting his 10th studio album, We’re Only Human, which was released to critical acclaim last year and has been on the Americana Albums Chart for 38 consecutive weeks.

Lund will also release Dark Horses on August 7, 2026 via New West Records. The 11-track set is a new recording of acoustic versions of some of Lund’s favorite songs across his catalog. Sequenced in chronological order, the songs are stripped down, intimate, and presented in their rawest form. The new versions offer a fresh perspective on familiar material and the result showcases the depth and craft of Corb’s unique songwriting. Dark Horses serves as the 12th mystery release culminating the year-long Dark Horse Vinyl Club which was announced last year. The club featured eleven albums released from 1995 through 2024 and all members will have exclusive access to an autographed copy of Dark Horses pressed on gold color vinyl (the one and only color variant of this record). The final round of the Dark Horse Vinyl Club will feature a first-time color vinyl pressing of Things That Can’t Be Undone (out April 24), as well as limited color vinyl pressings of Agricultural Tragic (out May 22), and El Viejo (out June 26). An extremely limited amount of Dark Horse Vinyl Club Memberships remain at NEW WEST RECORDS.

Following the European run with Hayes Carll, Lund has announced additional tour dates in his home country of Canada where he will perform his crowd favourite albums Five Dollar Bill, Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer, Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier!, and Cabin Fever, front to back, over multiple sold-out shows. Please see tour dates below.
