Harker reveal new single ‘Redacted’

About moving on from a past you’d rather forget

Fresh off their debut run of shows in the U.S., Brighton-based punk rock quartet Harker return with a new single ‘Redacted,’ the latest glimpse of their forthcoming, yet-to-be-fully-announced new album set for release in 2026. Watch the music video now.

‘Redacted’ is about the past you’d rather forget — mistakes, regrets, and once-friends that haunt you,” explains vocalist and guitarist Mark Boniface“Sometimes it’s better to coil yourself away from situations that cause recurring pain. Protecting your own existence is key to moving forward.”

Harker’s American stint included a standout performance at Gainesville, Florida’s legendary punk festival THE FEST, marking a milestone moment following the release of their self-deprecating but rousing anti-anthem ‘I Ruin Everything.’ The song—an explosive reflection on living with ADHD and Boniface’s own diagnosis—served as the first taste of the new record’s raw emotional core.

Both ‘Redacted’ and ‘I Ruin Everything’ were recorded and mixed by Toby May (The Levellers, The Wedding Present, CLT DRP), with additional production from the band, and mastered by Jason Livermore (Propagandhi, Rise Against, Hot Water Music, NOFX) at Blasting Room Studios.

Rooted in Brighton’s DIY ethos, Harker channel the grit of Dischord Records and the fuzz-drenched warmth of ’90s indie rock, fusing it with the melodic bite of SuperchunkAgainst Me!, and The Replacements. ‘Redacted’ and ‘I Ruin Everything’ showcase their knack for heartfelt hooks and urgent, melodic punk that hits straight to the chest. These are songs built to be screamed back at the band in packed rooms and festival fields alike—cathartic, defiant, and deeply human.

Since forming in 2015, Harker have released two charting full-length albums and toured relentlessly across the UK, Europe, and Japan. What began as Mark Boniface’s solo project playing house shows and tiny venues has evolved into one of the UK’s most melodic and emotionally resonant punk acts—louder, bolder, and more alive than ever.
