On Day By Day’s new single “Still Bleeds” the band unleash two minutes of crushing hardcore packed with unique tempo changes and punishing guitars. Lyrics of betrayal rupture from vocalist Ian Dolan fueled by indignation. The track is the third single from the band’s upcoming Dust and Ashes EP out January 17th through Flatspot Records.
Dust and Ashes was recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Studios in Chicago, IL, and then mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Day By Day wanted to avoid a modern and polished sound, and instead recorded live in the studio in order to capture the raw and heartfelt sound on the EP. The six tracks are massive, concise, and hard-hitting, centered around the uncertainties in life and friendships.
