GREAT FALLS RELEASE NEW ALBUM

THE BITE THAT GROWS UP
OUT TODAY VIA NEUROT RECORDINGS

Great Falls release their blistering new record The Bite That Grows Up today.

Formed by members of Kiss It Goodbye, Undertow, Playing Enemy, Bastard Feast, Gaytheist, and more. This new record showcases why Great Falls is revered as one of the heaviest bands in the American Pacific Northwest.

“We recorded this without playing any of the songs live first, and were really worried how people would respond to them. But we’ve finally had a chance to play almost all of the record in front of crowds and they seem to be coming off how we hoped: anxious, desperate and heartbroken.” – Great Falls

On The Bite That Grows Up, the band combines sludge with brutal hardcore, tinged with hues of emotive post-metal, scathing noise, blasting percussion, and an all-consuming low-end tone. The entire album is a chaotic listen with disorienting rhythms and dissonant riffs. Across the album there’s pummelling misery and heartbreak, yet also moments of relief. The Bite That Grows Up is an arresting listen, sticking with you long after its finished.

“Reaffirms Great Falls as undeniably one of the most uncompromising artists – and what they do is art, in the most difficult and demanding sense of the word – currently active”
No Clean Singing

“The Seattle band has now amply proven that noise rock, sludge, hardcore and postmetal live together perfectly”
Gonzo Circus

“Monumental… it’s near-impossible to grow weary of Johnston’s impassioned delivery”
Out Of Rage

“Jaw dropping… full of cathartic rage.. Cements Great Falls as a crushing band”
Distorted Sound

“Bleak, chaotic… Great Falls have matured without softening”
Echoes and Dust

“Will psychologically stay with you”
The Metal Epidemic

Joining the trio of guitarist/vocalist Demian Johnston, bassist Shane Mehling, and drummer/vocalist Nickolis Parks, The Bite That Grows Up has additional instrumentation by frequent collaborator John Schork (Half Majesty), and the previous single “Nicotine In The Spine” features additional vocals by Peter Clement Lund, the late guitarist/vocalist of Danish band and Great Falls tourmates Kollapse, who tragically passed away a few weeks after tracking these vocals.

The album was engineered by Scott Evans (Neurosis, Sumac, Shearling) at Studio Litho – owned by Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam – mixed by Evans at Antisleep, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Deadguy), and completed with photography by Mitchell Wojcik and illustration and design by Demian Johnston.

The Bite That Grows Up is released today on LP – Neon Orange, Mustard, and Black/Gold Burst Splatter variants – as well as CD and Digital formats. All formats and merch are live at through Neurot Recordings HERE.
