Gorerotted re-issue Mutilated In Minutes

Out 22nd May via Hammerheart Records

Death/Grind outfit Gorerotted have announced the re-issue of their 2000 classic Mutilated In Minutes via Hammerheart Records. The re-issue will be out on 22nd May via the label.

Pre-orders are available HERE.

Gorerotted have always thrived on chaos, excess, and a sense of unfiltered fun, but where a band like Pungent Stench often leaned into sleazy groove, Gorerotted pushed further into sheer intensity. Tracks such as ‘Put Your Bits in a Concrete Mix’, ‘Cut Gut, Beaten, Eaten’ and ‘Gagged, Shagged and Bodybagged’ stand out as defining cuts, combining savage energy with undeniably memorable hooks. There is also a strong undercurrent of the twisted black humour associated with Macabre, woven throughout the album’s sharp-edged, chant-like appeal. The result is a record that balances extremity with entertainment, one that delivers the violence and ferocity expected of death metal and grind, while never losing sight of its deliberately irreverent spirit.

Musically, comparisons to early Cannibal CorpseExhumed and pre-Whisper Supremacy Cryptopsy are valid to a point, but they only tell part of the story. Gorerotted was never simply another extreme metal band trading in gore and heaviness for their own sake. Their sound feels more like a collision of those influences with MacabrePungent Stench, and even a touch of Blood Duster, all filtered through the absurd, grotesque energy of early Peter Jackson films and the anarchic humour of Monty Python. It is precisely that combination of brutality, humour, and personality that gives the album its lasting appeal.
