Blending the punchy riffs of J-rock, the spirit of indie rock, and the raw edge of pop-punk, Toronto’s insanely popular Good Kid have announced their long-awaited debut album, Can We Hang Out Sometime?, out 3rd April 2026. To mark the release, the band will hit the road for their largest headline tour to date, with stops across North America, the UK, and Europe. Good Kid recently shared a visualiser for their second single Rift, while first single, “Wall”, has already racked up over two million streams and 125 million TikTok views from fan-generated content in its first week. With four popular EPs under their belt, the upcoming album arrives on the heels of a breakout run that has quietly positioned Good Kid as, “the biggest band you’ve never heard of.” With more than 700 million streams across their catalogue, multiple viral moments (including GOLD-certified hit “From The Start”), 2.8M+ monthly listeners, two JUNO nominations including Breakthrough Group of the Year (2024) and 183M streams with Spotify Wrapped, Good Kid have built an explosive global following, entirely independently. Recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Wallows, Lana Del Rey), Can We Hang Out Sometime? delivers the high-energy hooks and inventive riffs that have become a hallmark of their sound, while boldly pushing into new territory. Longtime fans will find the signature Good Kid bangers they’ve come to love, but also hear the band exploring fresh textures, rhythms, and sonic twists, in their grittiest offering yet. “This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we’ve ever been,” the band shares. “There are many things on this record that are irreproducible, sounds and methods that made each and every take totally unique. We made some risky choices, so now we have to own them.” The result is a set of songs that feel bigger, rougher around the edges, and more emotionally exposed than anything they’ve released to date. Beyond the music, Good Kid have become fixtures in the gaming and creator worlds. Self-described as “the world’s most creator-friendly band,” they’ve made their entire discography Content ID-free and DMCA-free, empowering creators across Twitch, YouTube, and more to use their songs without fear of takedowns. Their tracks have soundtracked MrBeast videos (topping 300M views), Riot and Epic Games activations, Valorant broadcasts, and countless community-made animations, edits, and livestreams. Their Discord server has evolved into a living universe of lore, and collaboration, where fans don’t just consume Good Kid’s world, they help build it. Case in point, the band was invited to perform at this year’s Streamer Awards on December 6th at The Wiltern in Los Angeles alongside Ty Dolla $ign. Their live set will be broadcast to millions of viewers across Twitch and YouTube, placing the band amongst the event’s impressive list of past performers and fellow digital-era music disruptors including Bella Poarch, Yung Gravy, and BBNO$. To celebrate Can We Hang Out Sometime?, Good Kid will hit the road for an extensive 2026 tour, kicking off 10th April and winding through major cities across the US and Canada before heading overseas for some of their biggest UK and European shows to date which includes The Roundhouse, London.
