From the shadows of Oslo, Gloombound rise today with their debut full-length album Dreaming Delusion, available now through Gruesome Records on CD. Formed in 2022, Gloombound channel manic curses, funereal rituals, and spectral gloom into a sound that haunts the borders of old-school death metal and dreamlike doom. Their 2023 EP Astral Exhalation established them as one of Norway’s most promising new forces and now their first album brings that promise to terrifying fruition. Crushing, cavernous, and eerily transcendent, Dreaming Delusion is a doom/death monolith steeped in despair yet lit by flickers of ghostly beauty. Expect: haunting, spectral lead guitars, cavern-deep female vocals, riffs dragged from the grave and a chilling atmosphere that dissolves the boundary between dream and oblivion.
