Genre-blending singer-songwriter Georgia Webster unlocks a new chapter of music with the release of “Attention” (Listen HERE // Watch HERE). Channeling an Olivia Rodrigo-esque mindset of “turning the crazy up to an eleven,” Webster highlights the lengths she is willing to go to capture someone’s attention. Whether it’s crashing her car or getting bit by a shark, the songstress illustrates the hypothetical and delusional thoughts that cloud her mind following a breakup.

“If I crashed my car / If I broke my arm / Got bit by a shark / Would you care then? / Would you care then? / If my heart gave out / If my house burned down / Baby, do I have to fly halfway to heaven just to get your attention?”

Written by Emily Weisband, Laura Veltz, and Sam Ellis, the song marks the first release from the rising artist that she did not directly co-pen.

‘“Attention’ is the first song I’ve ever released that I didn’t write on. I’ve always told myself that I’d never put something out I didn’t write, mainly because songwriting is such a core part of my identity as an artist. But when Emily Weisband, who I’ve been a fan of since high school, played the song for me after I went through a breakup a few months ago, I was literally speechless. It’s rare that a song leaves me with full body chills and that’s exactly what ‘Attention’ did to me, so of course I had to cut it. I hope people connect with this song as much as I do,” says Webster.

Defining this new era of music, Webster worked alongside her producer, King Henry (Sasha Sloan, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, Beyonce), to hone in her sound by creating some of “the most exciting and authentic music she’s written so far.”

Following a busy year on Kelsea Ballerini’s HEARTFIRST TOUR, Webster is “slowing” things down by embarking on an acoustic TOWN TALKS TOUR beginning in Nashville, TN at The Basement on January 24th. ABOUT GEORGIA WEBSTER:
A native of tiny Hampden, MA, Georgia Webster grew up listening to a variety of music—from John Mayer and Miley Cyrus to Carrie Underwood, Keane, and the Grateful Dead—finding a particular interest in the workmanship of singer-songwriters. Getting an early start in high school, Webster began developing her craft by performing around her hometown and writing journals full of original songs.
Drawing inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo, Josh Turner, Tyler Childers, and more, Webster developed a unique sound that combines her cross-genre influences and storytelling lyricism.

Wanting to fine-tune her craft even further, Webster started attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music’s songwriter camps, where her natural talent blossomed. Shortly after, in July 2020, everything changed for the musical prodigy when her song “Tell Your Mom” became an instant viral hit. Webster’s success brought impressive offers from pop and rock record labels out of New York and Los Angeles, but her instincts told her working out of Nashville would allow her to stay true to herself as a singer-songwriter with small-town roots.

Webster teamed up with songwriter and producer Paul DiGiovanni to create the studio version of “Tell Your Mom.” “Tell Your Mom” was featured on her debut EP, First Goodbye, where she wrote each song on the project herself. First Goodbye obtained critical praise, with People deeming it “a treasure of an album” and Sweety High noting that it “brings us back to Taylor Swift’s country days.” She also spent some time touring as the opening act on Ingrid Andress’ tour.

In September 2022, Georgia Webster released her latest EP, Chapter 1: Things We’re Not Saying. The EP featured 6 brand new tracks from the rising star, including the previously released track “X’s,” which garnered the attention of Kelsea Ballerini.  After hearing the song, Ballerini invited Webster to join her as direct support on Ballerini’s intimate 10-night only HEARTFIRST TOUR. The exclusive headlining jaunt made stops at iconic venues including Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY and The Greek Theater in Los, Angeles CA. Georgia kicked off 2023 by continuing to tour with Kelsea Ballerini through June in the UK and US.
