Born from tension between collapse and liberation, Paris, France based band Mascara will unleash their first full-length, Going Postal, on March 13th through Fever Ltd. Since forming in 2019, the band has built an impressive blend of shoegaze and post-hardcore across three EPs, most recently 2022’s HLA-11TF. Making their return with explosive single “NOVA ADOR” in November 2025, Mascara have entered a new chapter with their most honest and reflective material yet.
Single “MARROW,” out today, breathes right into haunting vocals that carry the five minute long track. Swirling rhythms hit a breaking point midway through as a pulsating force of guitars and drums intertwine with the emotional depth of the song.
The band shares:
“‘Marrow’ speaks of the wounds we inherit without choosing them, the burden passed down from generation to generation. It’s the idea that pain doesn’t disappear; it changes form, hides beneath the skin, and finds new ways to resurface. The song evokes memory, generational trauma, and the impossibility of ever truly freeing ourselves from what has been passed down to us.”

Going Postal is an album about what it feels like to live in a world that’s falling apart, a world that constantly pushes you to your limits while pretending everything is fine. It’s an expression of experience on a personal and global scale – frustration, exhaustion, and a strange, underlying form of hope. Writing the album took two introspective years, while it was recorded in one intense week with Clément Decrock at Boss Hog Studio. The nine tracks center through light and dark, swaying from pulverizing riffs to hazy distortion to experimental ambience. With Going Postal, Mascara have crafted a release that is human, vulnerable and raw, meant to evoke a cathartic and immersive experience for anyone who listens.
