Philadelphia, PA – Free Throw has released “Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend” which features Dom Fox from the band Bad Luck. LISTEN TO THE TRACK HERE OR WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW
“’Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend’ at its core, is a song about feeling misunderstood, or the feeling that people only look at what you say on a surface level” explains vocalist Cory Castro. “For instance, when I write songs about drinking and the issues that come with it, sometimes people just treat it like a party song. In reality, I’m usually exploring a much darker theme. This song explores how sometimes there can be something a little more serious hiding slightly beneath the surface.” “Mike Nolan’s Long Weekend” is the bands first new music in over 2 years. The band spent last year celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their classic record Those Days Are Gone. This included the release of deluxe version of the album that included the original songs, new versions of songs that will feature vocals from Tades Sanville of Hot Mulligan, Nathan Hardy of Microwave, Pat Miranda of Movements, Christine Goodwyne of Pool Kids and Yvette Young of Covet with additional live versions of the original tracks rounding out the album, commemorating ten years of its release. This was followed by a tour that saw the band playing the record in full to sold out crowds across the country Free Throw will be hitting the road for a short tour with label mates Chase Petra and TRSH in the US, alongside an appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago as well as supporting the Menzingers at their Stone Pony Summer Stage. The band will head to the UK and Europe in the Autumn for dates with Prince Daddy & The Hyena and as part of the Common Thread Tour. TOUR DATES 18th September -Columbus, OH Skully’s
